Transportation from Schiphol AirportTwo recommended options for transportation from Schiphol airport are train and taxi.Train: In the center of the airport there is a place where you can buy train tickets from a ticketing agent or a machine. The recommended destination is Amsterdam Centraal (approximately 4 euros each way). Trains between Schiphol airport and Amsterdam Centraal train stations run several times an hour (see www.ns.nl/en for schedules). Taxi: You can take alternatively take a taxi from outside the main plaza to you hotel. The estimated cost of a taxi from the airport to NH Hotel Doelen is 55 to 60 euros. Transportation from Amsterdam Centraal StationTwo recommended options for transportation from Amsterdam Centraal train station are tram and taxi.Tram: If your destination is NH Hotel Doelen, one can take any of tram numbers 9, 16, or 24 to Muntplein stop, then cross the bridge and then walk approximately one block with the hotel being on the right. The trip should be 1.08 euros using an anonymous travel card "OV-chipkaart" (a prepaid and refillable transportation tap card that can be used on trams, busses, metros, and intercity trains within the Netherlands, and can be purchased for 7.50 euros at GVB tickets and info), or 2.80 euros using a one-hour card that can be purchased on the trams. A website for the metro, trams, and busses is en.gvb.nl. Taxi: You can alternatively take a taxi from outside Amsterdam Centraal train station. The estimated cost of a taxi from Amsterdam Centraal train station to NH Hotel Doelen is about 7 to 10 euros. Walk: You can also walk (approximately 1.5 km from the train station to NH Doelen), but it would be helpful to have the following map:
